OXO Good Grips Green Salad Spinner

Back in July at Foodstruments the OXO Large Salad Spinner was reviewed, which not only did a splendid job at spinning the dirt out of your greens, but it was easy to use with its one-handed pumping mechanism and preserved the fresh lettuce for a number of day. Besides offering up this salad spinner in small and large sizes, OXO also has the Good Grips Green Salad Spinner, which is effectively the same product but colored green.

The Oxo Good Grips Green Salad Spinner has the same one-handed pumping mechanism for easily drying greens and herbs, which is patented by OXO. This pumping mechanism compresses completely into the salad spinner when not in use, which makes for easy storage. There is also a brake button on the salad spinner for stopping the spinning action in process, since this salad spinner is far more powerful than the traditional pull-cord spinners. There is also a non-slip ring on the bottom for keeping the bowl stead and in place. Lastly, the OXO Green Salad Spinner is dishwasher safe assuming it is in the top rack.

I have been using the OXO Good Grips Green Salad Spinner for a number of weeks now and it has worked out quite well. It spins the water and dirt quickly and easily away with just a few pushes on its patented mechanism. This salad spinner is a bit large but should have no problems fitting within most refrigerators and cupboards. There is not a whole lot to add besides what was shared in our OXO Large Salad Spinner review earlier this year. It works well and is a bit expensive at just under $30 USD (at Amazon.com) for being a relatively simple product, but it's backed by a very well known company (OXO) and should last most home chefs for a very long time -- whether it be the white or green version. OXO also recently introduced a steel version of this salad spinner, which uses a steel bowl rather than plastic, but comes with a $50 price-tag.
